Various thematic reports on environment and development issues, agriculture and food security, crop and livestock breeding, drought management, agrofuels, GM crops, international financial institutes, the environmental and social impacts of coal mining and infrastructure development, climate change adaptation, water rights and sanitation, empowering civil society and gender. Journals in which these articles have been published include: the Journal of Environmental Policy and Planning, Environment and Development Economics, the Journal of Rural Studies, the British Food Journal, Land Use Policy, Public Administration, Technology and Human Values, Sociologia Ruralis, Medical Anthropology, the Journal of Dairy Research, the International Journal of the Sociology of Agriculture and Food and the Journal of Agrarian Change.
Topics include: landscape management, cultural heritage, carbon sequestration, community management of forestry resources, extension services, plant protection, trade barriers and organic consumption patterns.
Other projects include preparing funding applications, project proposals, material for websites, membership drives and other materials for promotional and educational purposes.
Research and Writing
Finally, while only a small proportion of TextualHealing's work, there have also been some more creative research and copy-writing commissions including: reports and articles on small-scale agriculture in Africa, agroecology, climate change adaptation, future agendas for organic agricultural research and gender aspects of dam building.
